Skyline Financial was chartered in 1935 and remains committed to providing outstanding service to our members. The Credit Union was formed by a group of seven dedicated employees of what was then known as the Southern New England Telephone Company. The intent of our founders was to promote thrift among its members and to make loans to its members for prudent purposes. Our name at that time was Waterbury Telephone
Employees FCU.

The Credit Union’s first location was on the ground floor of the SNET building, 348 Grand St.,
Waterbury, CT. We remained at the sponsor facility until May 17, 1999 when we ventured out on our own. Our membership expanded and our asset size doubled.
